January Events
Bluegrass Festival - Last weekend in January
Shake off the winter blues with some pickin'-n-grinin' as Bluegrass bands from the surrounding area come together for two days of live music and lots of fun.


February Events
Valentine's Weekend, February 13th through 15th

Bundle up and visit Downtown Stroudsburg to celebrate the season of love with romantic dining, shopping, and the enchanting display of ice sculptures. There is something for everyone in the village of lights!

 

March Events
 
St. Patty's Day Parade 
A town favorite is the St Patrick’s day Parade. All businesses are encouraged to be open leading up to or following the parade. The parade route runs from Stroudsburg High School to Liztech in East Stroudsburg. The route is lined with thousands of your friends and neighbors. Consider opening for a few hours, or having a float in the parade! This is a great time to promote your downtown business at little to no cost, and have a great time!

Pocono Arts Squared
This is a major arts and craft event hosted by the Pocono Arts Council. Streets will be full of vendors, artisans and music. Just as the weather breaks consider having a sidewalk display to encourage folks to find out about your business.

Sidewalk Sales
Shop, browse and pick up a few bargains at our unique specialty shops. Have a leisurely lunch and enjoy personalized service you can't find anywhere but downtown. Great shops, great sales!
 
Pocono Raceway Festival
This completely unique event will celebrate our long history of supporting Nascar in the region and showcase all that Stroudsburg and the Pocono Mountains have to offer. The event will feature the following: Multiple Nascar Racecars, Race Simulators, Remote Control Car Races, Nascar Hi-definition videogaming, Nascar Drivers, Other regional race cars featuring quarter midget, late model, street stocks, and 4prose, Local Boy Scout Pine Box Championship Race, Additional Live Music all day on Main Street, Food vendors, Craft and retail vendors.

Go back in time by strolling historic Downtown Stroudsburg and explore automobiles from the 1930’s and later. Meet the owners and discover each automobile’s unique history.

Stroudfest - Saturday of Labor Day Weekend
Sample the food, fun and festivities in beautiful Downtown Stroudsburg. Enjoy entertainment throughout the day, along with our local artisans and crafters displaying their talent. Admission is free. www.stroudfest.com
 
Super Saturday Yard Sale and Sidewalk Sale
Will be back with a cultural flair in 2010. This great event brought together the United Way and Latino American Alliance of NEPA in 2008. This year the event will be even bigger with more cultural music and fun to be had for all.

Autumn Festival -Columbus Day Weekend
The ‘Burgs come alive with Scarecrows, Fall Foliage, and Classic Cars. What would autumn be without scarecrows? Join the fun in East Stroudsburg for the second annual Scarecrow Festival, where you can create a one-of–a-kind scarecrow. Once you finish with your scarecrow, motor over to Stroudsburg for the Autos in Autumn car show featuring antique and classic cars from numerous car clubs. As you stroll through the cars on display, enjoy music broadcasting throughout town. 

Autos in Autumn will be back again this year with even more great cars, food, music and fun!!

Tree Lighting in Courthouse Square - Friday after Thanksgiving
Get into the holiday spirit at the annual Tree Lighting in Courthouse Square. Festivities will begin with traditional Christmas carols, followed by the lighting of the tree by the Mayor of Stroudsburg. Then, to the delight of all the children, Santa Claus arrives in Downtown Stroudsburg. Following the tree lighting, enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations as you stroll through Stroudsburg’s charming Downtown, or enjoy a ride around town the old fashion way in a horse-drawn carriage.

Festival of Carols
Enjoy a Festival of Carols as area choirs present live holiday music on Main Street. In addition, shops and restaurants will present music, dance, and art displays. And of course, Santa will be there to greet all the children. Or you can take in the sights and sounds of the evening in a horse-drawn carriage ride.

Visit with Santa and Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
On  Saturdays in December and the weekend before Christmas, enjoy Christmas Shopping in Downtown Stroudsburg, as Santa visits Downtown Shops from 1 – 4pm, and enjoy the holiday decorations in a horse-drawn carriage ride available with Sugar Mountain Horse & Carriages throughout Downtown Stroudsburg ($10 per adult; $5 per child).
